Coaching FAQ

  1. What is a life coach? – A life coach is one who mentors and provides performance training to help a client reach their personal, relational, or professional goals. A life coach gives encouragement and helps a client learn a new perspective or better method to reach his or her goal.
  2. What is a Christian life coach? – A Christian life coach uses a faith-based approach to counsel and provide Godly wisdom to help a client realize their personal, relational, professional, and spiritual goals. A Christian life coach helps a person understand their identity, gifts, and purpose as a believer in Jesus Christ.
  3. Why go to a Christian life coach? – Using a TV illustration, I want you to imagine the first time when you saw a High Definition television. For me, the experience was exciting as the tv show had so much more detail, depth, and color. With a life coach, you can learn about yourself, see the “bigger picture” of your life, and work towards achieving your goals. With a Christian Life Coach, you will experience a greater depth of insight and be excited to learn how God created you with gifts, gain a deeper sense of who you are, and seek powerful guidance and clarity about your life decisions.
  4. What is your coaching like (or style)? I listen to hear your story and what inspires you. I use the COACH Model (created by Keith E. Webb). CONNECT – We share our stories and build trust, OUTCOME – We talk about your goals and what is your inspiration, AWARENESS – We talk about your story and journey so you can discover the lessons that will help you know your purpose and reach your goals. COURSE – Based on your learning/new awareness, we determine your best next steps or strategies to realize your goals, and HIGHLIGHTS – With effort and time, we keep the conversation going as learning happens and we celebrate your growth, success, and blessings.
  5. Your fees? The first meeting is free as I learn about your story and both decide if we are a good coaching match. If we both decide to move forward, I will create a specific coaching plan based on our first meeting’s conversation. There are two types of Coaching plans – 1) The Specific Goal Plan will be 5 to 7 sessions with a fee per session or 2) The Personal Coach Agreement for a season of time (usually 6 months or a year) to provide more time, depth, and feedback with in-person coaching, online training via FaceTime or Zoom, emails, and texts (with accessibility details provided). I am a Christian Life Coach because of my faith and calling to help men. Therefore, I prayerfully set my fee based on the person’s goals, life stage, and my value as an experienced and qualified care professional.
